Made from high-performance fiberglass fabric, Jingsu VETEX fiberglass fire blanket operates in temperatures ranging from -50ºC to 253ºC.  The superior flame resistance and oxygen barrier properties of the fiberglass fabric make these blankets essential safety elements in fire situations and evacuation processes. Thanks to the exceptional weather resistance of fiberglass, even in acidic, alkaline, or oily environments. JIANGSU VETEX offers a range of sizes, thicknesses, and configurations to meet the specific needs of users and applications.

The soft case fire blankets are a very straight forward and simple fire blanket design.

The blanket is securely held in place by the hook & loop flap at the base of the pack. Pulling the tabs will release the blanket making it very reliable and easy to operate.

High Temperature Resistance

The fiberglass fire blanket is constructed from high-performance fiberglass fabric, which possesses an exceptional melting point of up to 800°C. This capability allows the blanket to remain fully functional in extreme environments without degradation. Fiberglass is widely recognized for its remarkable thermal stability. Research indicates that fiberglass can withstand temperatures exceeding 1000°C for brief periods, making it one of the most reliable materials for fire suppression applications (source: ASTM E136). Furthermore, its operational temperature range of -50°C to 253°C demonstrates its versatility, allowing for safe and effective use across various high-temperature environments, from industrial facilities to residential settings.

Flame Resistance

Fiberglass is inherently non-combustible and exhibits superior flame resistance. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), fiberglass can endure direct exposure to flames without igniting, making it an essential material for fire protection. The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) affirms that fiberglass materials do not release toxic gases or harmful smoke during high-temperature exposure. In contrast to materials such as asbestos, which pose significant health risks, fiberglass fire blankets mitigate these concerns by providing a safer and more reliable alternative. These properties contribute to a substantial reduction in secondary fire hazards, such as toxic smoke inhalation and fire spread, ensuring a safer environment for workers and the surrounding area.

Ease of Use

Fiberglass fire blankets are designed for ease of use, providing quick and effective deployment in emergency situations. They are lightweight, soft, and require no specialized training to operate, which makes them suitable for both professional and non-professional use. According to the British Standards Institute (BSI), fire protection equipment must be easily accessible and deployable, especially in urgent scenarios. A study from Fire Safety Engineering highlights that rapid deployment of fire blankets can significantly limit the spread of fire in small-scale incidents, such as grease fires or electrical fires. This ability to act swiftly is critical for preventing escalation and reducing damage to both people and property in high-risk

environments.
